A Daily Workout with Jesus

Do some days seem to drag on and on? You’re tired and overwhelmed and just want to get some rest but there’s too much to do. As a writer, I’m constantly writing, critiquing or thinking. It’s enough to drive a crazy man sane.

When you find yourself overwhelmed, this is the time when you need to rest in Jesus. Your body is craving a break from the Overwhelmedworld. Filling yourself with the spirit is the best way to energize. Bible verse Genesis 2:2 reads, By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Even God rested, so who are we to not?

When I find I’m real busy, but need a quick break, I do a two minute workout with God to rejuvenate myself. It’s easy. And guess what? No sore muscles from this routine.

I think faith is incredible important because you will become overwhelmed with what’s happening and you will have waves of grief, but when you turn to your faith, I believe God will give you waves of grace to get through it. – Joel Osteen

First close your eyes and breathe in a deep breath of Jesus. Think about how much He has done in your life. Suck in the joy and greatness that is God. Imagine what your life would be without Him. Release those shoulders from your ears. Let them relax. Another deep breath. Push up and out all those bad feelings. Another deep breath.

Feel better? There’s no such thing as overtraining with this routine. You can do this workout anytime you need it, even if you’re stuck in traffic. There’s no where inaccessible to God. Just stretch your imagination to find time.

Meditating in Him is different than praying. When you pray, you talk with God. Meditating is more like resting, knowing God is Meditatein charge. You listen for Him to speak to you. This is a time for Him to renew your mind and give your body rest.

Drink in the wonder that is Jesus every time you feel like the world is crashing around you, and you’ll feel your anxiety cool down. The more you do this breathing exercise, the nearer you’ll feel to Jesus. It only takes seconds to rejuvenate yourself, and no shower is needed afterward.

If you or someone you know are in need of prayer this week, please let us know. We’d be more than happy to pray for you.
And if this post moved you in some way, please feel free to share it.

      Vito,
I’d write what you’re passionate about or something you love doing that might help others learn. This way it will not only keep your interest, but also help you learn more about it. Thanks for commenting. – Kathy
