The word “go” is used a lot in the Bible. In the New Testament alone, it’s used over 200 times. God meant for us to get up and share the word. Now that doesn’t mean leaving town, even going out your front door, but you should be willing to share your faith in some way.
Here are just a couple verses which urge others to go:
Matthew 28:19: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. This is directed to those who have a calling to go out in the world.
Mark 5:19: Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” This is directed to those who should be disciples to their own families.
As you can see, you don’t have to necessarily leave your town in order to spread the word. Bring your faith to your family and friends. I share mine more as a writer than I do verbally. Maybe that’s your way also. God has given us all gifts to share, we just need to find our way.

The more we share God’s word, the stronger we become in our own faith. If you are nervous about sharing right now, just show your faith by your actions. Behave and live like a Christian. After all, our actions speak louder than words. Eventually others will notice the difference and ask you about it. And the stronger you become in your faith, the more you will be able to speak about it.
It’s okay if your nervous to share with some people, especially those closest to you. After all, they’ve known you longest and might use your past against you. But that’s okay. If God intends for you to speak to others, He will give you the words.
