Panic is on the Way

Watch any news story and you’ll hear about the Coronavirus (COVID-19). What they don’t tell you is more people in the United States have died from the flu than have even contacted this new disease. Unfortunately, calmness doesn’t get people to watch the news.

Panic is the name of the game right now. I understand this virus is bad, especially for the elderly or those with breathing issues. There is reason for concern, but in most cases washing your hands well is the best way to beat it.

Philippians 4:6-7, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Remain calm and rely on God in times of stress. Allowing panic to take over will only make things worse. And media stations should be called out when they try to cause such alarm and fear. They should give news, not create it.

We need to hold tight to God when it comes to all things in our lives that cause us concern. And the more we rely on God, the less fear will control us.

I pray you all stay healthy, but if you do get ill, I pray for quick healing.
