The longer a crisis goes on, whether it be illness of a loved one, a missing child, or a virus that has overtaken a country, the more stressful we feel. Worry, anxiety, tension, and depression can all take hold. The best way to get through is with hopeful words.
The following are five quotes from Billy Graham to help get through stressful times. I hope one of them helps you get through this crisis we are currently going through.
When we come to the end of ourselves, we come to the beginning of God.
As a Christian, I have hope not just for this life, but for heaven and the life to come. And many of the people who died this past week are in heaven right now and they wouldn’t want to come back. It’s so glorious and so wonderful. And that’s the hope for all of us who put our faith in God.
Mountaintops are for views and inspiration, but fruit is grown in the valleys.
Suffering is part of the human condition, and it comes to us all. The key is how we react to it, either turning away from God in anger and bitterness or growing closer to him in trust and confidence.
Believers, look up – take courage. The angels are nearer than you think.
