We all wish for something, i.e. getting out of debt, a new car, etc. I have dreams and wishes galore. Basically, if wishes were fishes, I’d have a boat load. My biggest want right now is I’d love to retire so I can write full-time. Unfortunately, that’s not going to occur any time soon.
A lot of people have goals that don’t always pan out. We just have to remember that God will work His plan in our lives. And in His time.
That’s the hardest part, the waiting. Some days the waiting makes us want to pull our hair out. All that does is leave us bald. Psalm 130:5 tells us to wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope. God knows our desires, but He also knows if what we want is good for us at that particular time.
His timing and decisions for us are always perfect.

I believe that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. You see, when you let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in your life. – Joyce Meyer

Moving faster than God can get you in trouble, whether it means marrying the wrong person, taking the wrong job, or retiring before we’re financially able to. We all need to have patience and allow God to make His move before we step out.
It is in God’s time that things will get done perfectly.
Eventually things will come our way. It might not be exactly what we thought was good for us. It might be something different, only God knows for sure. So, let that boatload of fish sit there. God will see to it that it doesn’t get to smell too badly.
