This past week I read a news article where only positive tests for the Corona virus are being reported near Tampa, Florida. That means 100% results for the virus. When a journalist (apparently a true journalist because he wanted to know the truth) got suspicious, he discovered what was going on. Turns out if you add in the negative results, that 100% is closer to 9%.
It’s hard enough to know what’s going on with a media putting their slant on the news without companies now doing the same thing. Apparently, the people working at these companies don’t realize we’re all in the same boat. Ephesians 4:24 reminds us Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. Being deceptive is basically lying. And if you lie to one, you lie to all.
Why would companies do this? Three things come to mind.
They might be so busy running test results that they didn’t think about giving negative results or the outcome of not giving all the information. This is a viable reason except it was more than one company. I think instead of being busy, laziness might be a more viable reason.
Could there be a political agenda? Did these companies report their findings to harm the Republican governor? Could be since the four companies are in Tampa Bay – a pretty liberal area of the state. If so, whoever is in charge should be fired. Politics should never play in something so important.
The final reason that comes to mind is money. After all, if you’re showing 100% affected, the scare factor would grow, and more people would get tested. The more tests, the more work these labs will have. That means more money. Unfortunately, greed is a big factor when it comes to companies these days.

I believe greed is probably more the reason than anything. Whoever is in charge should be fired for causing such panic just for money.
We need to not worry about the results. While ridiculous that companies would play such games, the only thing we can truly trust 100% is Jesus. He is always with us and will never turn from us. As long as we stay focused on him instead of the news, the better off we will be.

Amen! I have heard people that HAVE NOT taken the test are getting letters (either from the Lab or Health Dept) that they tested positive! Since one of the incidents happened to my brother-in-laws friend, I would say there is some validity to the story. There are enough positive results without showing the full results of all tests.
But, God’s got this. Truth can be twisted, but HE will untwist the truth in the end.
