Dear Lord,
I pray for the upcoming election. Please let Your will be done, not ours. Just because someone attends church or claims to be a Christian, does not always mean it is true. You know the hearts of those running far better than we do.
Lord, allow the winner to not only get the electoral vote, but the popular vote as well to calm some of the complaints. Let us know the true winner quickly. I also pray for peace no matter the outcome. Let people realize that You are in charge, not some politician or political party.
Bring calmness of Your people. Let all Your children know that You are here with us, and You have a plan. It might not be what we wanted or expected, but You know what is to occur in the future. We don’t.
Have us remember that no matter what another thinks or votes, we are to love them and pray for them.
Remind us to pray daily for whoever leads this country, so that You will hear and bless the USA once more. Help us to remember Matthew 18:20, “For where two or more gather in my name, there am I with them.” You hear us, and You love us. No other God is greater.
