There will be no blog because of Easter. However, I saw this and thought it was a good daily reminder of why Jesus died for us.

Need to Move to Get

Too often we feel unblessed in this world of wants and not-enoughs. We sometimes believe that as a Christian, we deserve to prosper. Instead, we see those who don’t deserve it, obtain their dreams in ways that are sinful.

However, our riches are in Heaven. And the way to feel blessed is to do as God calls you to do. And that means by treating others well and by not sinning. You also need to come forward when He calls you. Like David when he was called from the mountains to be anointed king, you need to step out of your comfort zone and into the life God has planned for you.

God loves His children, and He wants us to be happy, but there are rules to follow.

While no one will be perfect, and we will all fall short, one important rule is to be as faithful to God as we can. The more we focus on Jesus, the better able we are to see what He has in store for us.

You should also do your best to be pure of heart. Basically, choose between good and evil. We will never be sin free, but we have to try. Just saying you’re a Christian doesn’t make the gates of Heaven open for you. As Jesus stated in Matthew 7:22-23, Many people will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not preach in Your Name? Did we not put out demons in Your Name? Did we not do many powerful works in Your Name?’ Then I will say to them in plain words, ‘I never knew you. Go away from Me, you who do wrong!

And finally, if you want to feel God’s blessings, don’t fear getting out there and doing what He has asked of you. Stay focused on the cross and move when God says to move. He could ask you to go to a mission field in Africa or just walk across the street to speak with a neighbor.

In either case, He will give you the ability to complete his mission.

Remember your reward is in the next life, not this one. Just listen and move when God asks you to move. Listening followed by action is the best way to live a life that is blessed.
