Well the doomsday scare is over. Harold Camping, a civil engineer who also has a multi-million dollar media empire predicted the world would end Saturday. He was wrong.
I was surprised by what one of Mr. Camping’s followers said. “I was trying to push the skepticism away because I believe in God”. It sounds more to be a belief in Mr. Camping instead of God.
How many of you go to church, listen to your minister, and live by His word? If you don’t open your Bible, the word you’re living by is your pastor’s, not God’s.
Men have a habit of thinking they know more than they do. They add their own philosophies and opinions to God’s word. That’s why it’s important you read the Bible and let God tell you the meaning.
Revelation 22:18 states, I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. I have a feeling a few religious leaders are surprised when their time in Heaven arrives.
There is a difference between religion and Christianity. Reading the Bible will tell you which is which. If you feel it’s a sin to dance, don’t dance. But remember, David, one of God’s favorites, not only danced for God, but danced for him naked. I’m not suggesting we all go out and do this, especially without sunscreen, but by reading God’s word (the Bible) you will be able to differentiate between following the man, a religion, or God.
Great one, Kathy!!! I’ve been rearranging my time at home around more Bible reading and everyday something I’ve read before pops out at me in a different way. God’s Word is not boring!
I’m glad you enjoyed it.
