Your child doesn’t call. You might be disappointed, but you don’t stop loving them. Your child does something wrong. You might hate the action, but you still love the person.
This is how God is. He’s our father, and He loves you no matter what you’ve done. His feelings don’t change if you did something bad ten years ago, five years ago or yesterday. Also any sins in the future will be forgiven. Just ask Him. His love never ends.
Ephesians 2:4-5 reads, But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
The same is true about your contact with God. He wants us to pray and to talk with Him, but he’s not going to stop loving you just because you don’t. He’s like any other parent who gets excited when they hear from their child.
It doesn’t take much to contact God. Just look to the sky or straight ahead and say “Father.” He’ll answer.
And by the way, when was the last time you called your mother? She might not be so forgiving.
