God puts a passion inside us that sometimes feels like an energy bubble about to burst. It creates a dream that we want to fulfill in order to bring people to Him. Use that gift too soon, and it might blow up in your face. You might come to feel that it’s you who created the success, not God.
I started writing ten years ago. After a couple years, I got tired of waiting for a publisher so I considered self-publishing. Good thing God made me a poor white woman so I couldn’t afford to do it. I read the stuff I considered publishing years ago, and it makes me shudder. I didn’t know how to write. In fact, I see improvement from what I’m writing today and my first book published.
However, God’s timing is very important. There’s a reason he wants us to wait. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven”.
Success isn’t just about getting that project out or the next new thing. Success is about timing. Do you think the “pet rock” would be a winner today? Maybe, maybe not. Who’s to know? It’s hard to believe a blanket with sleeves was a hit. In my day, we called those bathrobes.
If God has given you this hope or dream, He will make it happen. It might not be today, might not be tomorrow, it might be ten or twenty years from now, but it will come to fruition. And when it does, it will be awesome. You just have to be willing to wait with a Christian heart until that happens.
I totally agree! Good things happen in God’s time. What an awesome article. Great job!
Thanks. I appreciate your comments.
Thanks, also waiting for Gods power to open the market for my and His book “Happy Ending” its hard to wait!
Sometimes the waiting is the hardedst part.
