Does God Hate Women?

Lies are all around us these days with the elections coming up. Every candidate says what the group they are speaking to wants to hear in order to win votes. But this is no different than any other day. People and businesses lie daily in order to get our attention.

The sad part. Sometimes we listen.

We listen when the magazine article tells us that the model in their photo is real and that’s what beauty is. We listen when a business tells us they are a Christian business, then they’re charged with doing something illegal. And we listen when friends tell us they can’t believe in our God because He doesn’t like women.

I think this one came out from the feminist era of the 1960’s. Men were trying to tell women their place was in the home, that’s what God wanted. Women were to take care of the children and their man. Women wanted more independence, so what better way than to strike out at the Bible.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, there are men out there who ram certain things in the Bible down women’s throats. Did you know there are only male angels in the Bible? These same “Christian men” will point out that very few books in the Bible are named after women. And the two they like to sue most are that wives are to submit to your husband, and Eve messed up our chance of remaining in Heaven.

Men have a tendency not to read the entire story well when it comes to Eve, or they’d see that she handed the fruit off to the man “who was with her.” Yeah, he wasn’t off working, he was standing right there, probably nodding his head when she turned to him for the okay.

For any woman doubting God’s love, let’s look at Jesus. He presents himself to a woman at the well. The first woman who discovered He was missing from His grave was a woman. John 20:1-17 states, that Jesus came to Mary while she was weeping.  Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” Jesus appeared to Mary before He did anyone else, including his male disciples.

Never doubt God’s love for you, whether you are a man or a woman. And anyone who tries to turn you from God with those lies is working for the evil one. Satan likes nothing more than to turn a God loving woman away from her Lord. And the best way to do it is with other women. For some reason, we’ll listen to other women before we listen to God’s word.

When you is [sic] precious to God, you become important to Satan. – Ron Hall, Author

Don’t for a minute think God doesn’t love you. Every child is precious in His eyes.

If someone in your life is trying to turn you from God, you need to set them straight about the joy in your heart, and then walk away from them. Evil doesn’t belong in God’s world or in His believer’s mind. That includes turning off any television shows that are telling you these lies.

The more you come to know the Bible, the more you’ll realize God’s love for you as a woman. By the way, the whole “all men are angels thing,” I notice most of these guys don’t like to bring up the fact that men were the ones who wrote the Bible back in an era when  women were considered property. How different it might have been if women had had a hand in it.
