Who’s at Fault

First Hurricane Irma hit, then Maria, and one earthquake after another all in the same span of time. There are mass shootings and terror attacks. Whenever tragedies occur, someone inevitably asks “Why does God do this?” When the person asking is a nonbeliever, it just shows their hypocrisy, but I digress. But even believers blame God when these things to occur.

pointing-1991215_1920It’s always easier to blame others than
to look at ourselves.

In 2 Corinthians 4:4, it states, The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. The god of this age is the evil one. If Satan is in charge of this world, why do we blame God when bad things occur?

The devil is the influencers of the actions of many people in this world. There are those who care more about money than they do others and those who would rather stroke their ego than to give to the poor. And others who would rather harm another then help them.

government funded. Imagine if 100% of these funds
were donated and the government wasn’t involved at all.

God has given the evil one the power over this world. Sure God could stop anything Satan has done or will do in the future, but wouldn’t it be better for man to do that? Imagine if we all stopped allowing the devil to reign in our lives how different things would be in this world.

This is not to say that he rules the world completely; God is still sovereign. But it does mean that God, in His infinite wisdom, has allowed Satan to operate in this world within the boundaries God has set for him. “How is Satan god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)?” www.gotquestions.org

Global warming is blamed for all these disasters we’re seeing. Maybe if we stopped tearing down forests to build houses, things would get better. After all, trees provide shade whereas concrete lets off heat. But we want bigger, so we continue to tear down one of the few things that cools off this planet. In case you didn’t know, these trees also help provide us air.

And maybe if we promoted those with a good moral life, we might have less hate.

The evil one wants to turn you away from God. He’ll use any means necessary whether it be cancer or a hurricane. We just need to realize that it’s Satan working in this evil way, not God. So hold fast to God and it will give the evil one less power over your life and this planet.
