A Time of Desperation

It’s easy to hate those who harm others, whether you’re a Christian or not. We want to see bad people pay for their actions. This is no truer than for a man who kills over fifty people at a music festival.

It’s too bad this man’s heart carried hate instead of love.  If he’d kept Mark 12:31 in his soul, the world would have never felt his destruction. It reads, Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

I thought I’d share a beautiful song I heard the other day. Some people are calling it a reaction to the attack in Las Vegas; however, it came out before that day. In fact, Maren Morris apparently sang this song at the same three-day country music festival where the 59 people died. She appeared the day before the shooting. Too bad the killer wasn’t listening. They say music can sooth a savage beast, and this man sure was a beast.

We need to keep love in our hearts so maybe one day we can stop all the violence this world has been spitting out lately.  Feel free to pass this on to your friends who are in need of some comfort today.

If you or someone you know is in need of prayer this week, please leave a comment. We’d be more than happy to pray for you. And if this post moved you in some way, please feel free to share it.
