A young white girl went to her prom wearing a beautiful Chinese style dress. People attacked her for being racist. We pick on Millennials and call them lazy, and we verbally attack those we disagree with politically. All the while we hide behind the anonymity of social media. There are those who attack anyone for any reason, even when there is no provocation.

In the book of Matthew, Jesus was asked what the most important commandment was. In verse 22:37-39, Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Isn’t it time we quit all the hate that is going around? We as Christians should be the first to show love instead of hate.
We spend too much time on the internet instead of face-to-face with people and real friends. I’ll guarantee some of the things you post on social media about another you would never say to their face. But it’s easy to be cruel when no one can see you.

Haters are like crickets. Crickets make a lot of noise, you hear it but you can’t see them, then right when you walk by them, they’re quiet. – Israel Houghton, singer/songwriter

We need to stop building a world filled with hate just to make ourselves feel better. It usually doesn’t work. Instead spread joy. Get to know God’s love for you, and you’ll feel pretty special. Funny, but when you feel His presence, you don’t want to harm others.
By the way, that young lady in the Chinese prom dress, while others insulted her, a large portion of people from China spoke up and said they really liked the dress and the way she looked. And if you really look at those lazy Millennials, you’ll discover they really aren’t. A lot of them actually have two jobs and have paid off their debt. Something their parents never taught them. After all, we are the generation of car payments and credit card users.
Let’s cheer others on instead of tearing them down. It’s the way Jesus would want us to act, and it’s a better way to change the world. Hate will only destroy, love helps people to grow.
If you or someone you know is in need of prayer, please let me know, and I will be happy to pray for the circumstance.
Amen! I could use your prayers this month. I didn’t receive a check this month, can’t pay any of my bills including my rent. I don’t know when I will be paid again. Thanks, Debora
I will keep me on my prayer list, Debora. Let me know how things go.
