Over 50 million kids will be heading
to school this year.
Time is flying. Seems summer just began, but now school is starting all over the country. As such, I thought a prayer for the teachers and students would be in order. Please join me.
Thank You for the wonderful summer we just had. Now a new school year is about to begin. I pray for this to be a safe year for anyone who enters through the doors of each institution.
Please Lord, keep a watch over the teachers and school leaders. Give them the patience needed to deal with all the students in their midst. Have them teach the students without mixing in their own political ideology. And keep all teachers safe from anyone who might want to harm them.
Also, Lord, protect our children both physically and emotionally. Too often we hear about school shootings, bullying, and suicide. Keep our children strong, and I pray they rely on You no matter the circumstances. Soften the hearts of those who want to cause harm to any student whether with weapons or words.
And those being bullied, I pray they turn to You for comfort. Let them remember that while words might hurt, Your words are stronger.
Raise our children, Lord, to know how to rely on You when others hurt them. Let parents remember the words of Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it so when their child is abused in some way, they hear the voice of God consoling them.
And Lord, slow the cars down and have the driver’s watch for children heading to school. Protect those children traveling on foot. Make both driver and pedestrian aware of their surroundings so they both may remain safe.
And be with those children going to a new school or entering school for the first time, including my granddaughter, Hope. Let them not feel afraid and alone. Let them feel Your arms wrapped around them as they step inside their new school. Jesus, thank You for giving us an education system that benefits all who utilize it.
Thank You even more for listening to my prayers and for never leaving me in times of trouble.
In Jesus name,
If you like the prayer, feel free to share it. I hope you all have a wonderful week. If you or someone you know is in need of prayer, please let me now. I’ll be happy to pray for the situation.
