Just wanted to drop a quick line about my new book titled 30 in 30. I wrote this to help those of you who have a hard time blessing others, especially strangers. You either don’t have enough time, money, are too shy, etc. This book will give you ideas on how you can easily and inexpensively bless others in thirty days, some without even having to speak to another person. It’ll be available as an e-book by Amazon on October 15, 2018, but you can preorder it for only $0.99 below. I hope it helps you feel a bit more comfortable in blessing those you don’t know. Now on with the blog:
Have the Yawns?
These days I’m having a hard time falling asleep. My mind has a tendency not to shut down. And when I do sleep, I sleep so sound, I don’t wake up at my usual hour. This occurred on Sunday. I slept in so I didn’t make it to church.
I’ve heard a lot of others say the same thing. We all have so much going on, we can’t seem to turn off the to-do lists in our head. Then we drag through the next day only to find ourselves wide awake at bedtime.
Let me let you in on a little secret. God understands. He created the universe. Developed trees, brushed a hand stroke over the lakes and rivers. He even created man. And then you know what he did? He rested.
Yep, even God took a day off. And we should too.
In Exodus 23:12, we are also told to rest. Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.
It tells us right there why we need to rest. So that we will be refreshed.

I don’t think God is mad about me missing church. He knows I’ve been working pretty hard lately with the new book coming out and craft fairs in full bloom.
How about you? Are you in need of rest? We all do at one point or another. So, just relax, put your feet up and take a break. If you need a good book to read, I can recommend an author I know. Wink. Wink.
If you or someone you know is in need of prayer, let me know, and I’ll be happy to pray for the situation.
