My name is Kathryn J. Bain, and I’m technologically challenged. Yes, I have a hard time with electronics. I’ve never understood the thrill of doing all these video games, and I don’t even like my smartphone. In fact, I’m so challenged, I went to Wal-Mart to find a car charger for my phone and had to ask a young kid which one I should buy.
That’s bad.
I’m not interested in learning all the new stuff that comes out. It doesn’t interest me. However, it’s a known fact that we need to keep learning in order to keep our brains functioning. And that doesn’t necessarily mean only technology or I’d be doomed. There are plenty of other ways to stimulate your brain, word games like crossword puzzles and Sudoku are just a couple. And reading is another way to continually learn and stimulate those little gray cells.
Reading has also been known to help with the symptoms of Alzheimer’s. To read more on that go to https://www.alzinfo.org/articles/reading-alzheimers-bay/ Better yet, God wants us to continually read His Word. 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, … Each time I read the Bible, I learn something new. And the more you learn, the better you can teach others the Word.
The Bible is good for not only learning but staying healthy. It has lessons in moderation, and it also teaches about debt. The more you read the Bible, the more you’ll find everyday lessons on life.

Nobody ever outgrows Scripture; the book widens and deepens with our years.” – Charles Spurgeon

Nobody is knowledgeable about everything. That’s why it’s good to not be afraid to ask for help when you don’t know the answers. It’s also better to ask than to tear open a package in the middle of the store just to see if the item is the one you need.
And the more we read the Bible, the more we learn how to live as a Christian. This is something we need to continually learn even as we age because the last thing you want to be when you get to Heaven is Jesus-challenged.
