Watch Me!
I love inspirational news stories. Too often we only hear the bad stuff. There’s a philosophy in the news – if it bleeds, it leads. That’s because people have a tendency to want to hear about the morbid stories. If you lived based on the local news, you’d think there was no hope in this world. But there is hope. Just ask eleven-year-old Abri Bently.
She has more faith and hope than anyone I’ve seen recently. She lost her leg and was told by her doctor she’d never be able to tap dance. Her response, “Watch me!” You can see her story below. It’s very inspirational.
I’ve kept this post short because I think we all need to read about this girl’s attitude of never giving up. 2 Chronicles 15:7 reminds us to be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded. When things get hard, terrible things occur, and you need to triumph over adversity, it’s time to dig in your heels. When the devil says you can’t, you need to say “Watch Me!” And remember, anytime you need Jesus, He’s sitting right next to you, ready with arms wide open.
